Hey There!

I have been browsing some PSA videos in order to get a better grasp on what kind of style I would like to incorporate into my video. I started looking at drug PSA's, like above the influence for example. I really like how they're all short, sweet, and to the point. Fitting In (Above The Influence) is a really cool video, they had a young adult fit through one billboard after another in which an activity was shown such as playing baseball, hanging out with friends, and skateboarding. At the end of the clip was a poster of someone smoking and the actor chose to walk away and not "fit in". This was a pretty powerful message

Another pretty unique video I watched is called Words Hurt (Anti-Bullying). As the title implies, it is a video about bullying. But this isn't just your average video where someone comes up and says bullying is wrong and you should speak up. This video shows a girl walking toward a group of 3 girls who are "bullies" when they call the girl a jerk, geek, etc. these words pop up from thin air then smack, push, and abuse the girl. I like how they used the words to literally "bully" the girl.

The last video I looked at that I really liked is called What if you could see what smoking does?. It starts off with a girl having a normal conversation with a friend while she is pampering herself outside. While doing these things she also picks up a cigarette and starts smoking and slowly but surely parts of her body like her fingers, ears, and face start turning gray symbolizing what smoking does to the human body.

After watching all of these videos I would like to incorporate the words coming from girl bullies, the visual aspects of the body decomposing from the smoking video, and maybe the simplicity of the first video with the Fitting In.

RCHS Culture and Diversity

For a theme as my yearbook cover some ideas I have in mind mirror the examples in my previous post. I am considering an image (much like the hand) in which I could fill with spectacular photos of RCHS Events and Shows.

When I look back in the future, memories of what I did will rush back when I see old pictures of us being stupid, having fun, and making new friends. And maybe different flags to remember how diverse RCHS was.
I like this idea of a yearbook cover because it symbolizes leaving your legacy/mark on where you spent 4 years of your life with friends and made memories.

This one is creative, I like the different colors. We could make the colors symbolize everyones nationality here at richland since we are so diverse.

This is very unique and I like the message it sends, everyone is special in their own way and that's super duper uber cool.
